Packaging materials – necessary to have and important to sort for reuse and recycling. How does Tentipi handle it?
As much as possible of the packaging material that comes to Tentipi's warehouse is reused to pack outgoing goods to retailers and distributors. Goods that are packaged for the end customer are placed in new packaging – primarily cartons, corrugated fibreboard and wrapping paper.
The packaging is to protect the goods during transport and must hold properly. It is a balance between durability and sustainability and environmental impact.
Tentipi is connected to FTI – a nationwide recycling system for packaging.
FTI's role is to provide all companies with access to the nationwide recycling system for packaging (paper, plastic and metal) and newspapers, which is designed to simply and efficiently meet producer obligations.
We encourage retailers, distributors and end customers to sort packaging materials that are no longer needed to protect the products when used by the buyer.
