TipiStar™ - patent pending high wind device

We've broken new ground again, developing a high wind device that enables our Stratus and Cirrus 72 Nordic Tipis to be safe to use in 28m/s (62mph) of wind.

Our wind loading figures come from detailed structural calculations that take into account the specific timber, fabric, hardware fittings and construction method of our Nordic Tipis. 

Achieving 28m/s in a structure like this without destroying the aesthetic appeal is quite something.

6m x  6m Catering Tent

We know most caterers don’t like to cater in slopey-sided tents, and that rig times are crucial. So our catering tent uses a high quality 6m x 6m pagoda frame, covered in the uncoated version of the fabric used in our tipis, with a brown PVC reinforcement edge. We’ve covered the aluminium uprights so they aren’t visible from outside, helping the tent to blend in with your Stratus and Cirrus tents as well as possible.

As you would expect, it is fire retardant and we have formal structural calculations rating it to 50mph.
