Standards concerning temporary structures around the world continue to evolve, forever becoming more stringent. We keep abreast of the standards and aim to be a step ahead all the time.
Structural Stability
We have formal structural calculations for every approved configuration of individual and linked tipis, whether "sides up", "sides down" or anything between the two. We supply wind loadings, pull out forces and ballast weights for each different staking point. These calculations comply with EN 13782, applicable throughout Europe and to the Australian Building Code Board standard for Temporary Structures.
The fire retardancy of our tents is evidenced by a label sewn onto each canvas panel, discreetly positioned not to be in line of sight when the tents are in use.
The fabric is inherently fire retardant, meaning that it never needs re-proofing to keep its fire retardant properties. It meets the following international standards:
BS 7837:1996
SS EN 14115
AS 1530.2-1993 and exhibits a Flammability Index of 2 and AS 1530.3-1999 and exhibits Ignitability Index of zero, Spread of Flame Index of zero, Heat Evolved Index of zero and Smoke Developed Index of 4
