From the beginning, the Sami pitched their tents with poles and animal skins or some form of woollen cloth. These were taken with them to their places of residence when the reindeer herd moved between different pastures. They took their home and moved on.
Today we pack for adventures, camping and hiking. Modern materials and construction methods have made the tents lighter – both for carrying and pitching. In a tent from Tentipi, a home in a Nordic tipi, you can get as close to nature as the indigenous people have done in their tents.
